WORLD VISION CLEAN WATER DONATION
About every 90 seconds, a child under 5 dies as a result of diarrhea caused by contaminated water, poor sanitation, and unsafe hygiene practices. Access to safe drinking water and sanitation are critical to human health and development. Yet, over 730 million people lack access to safe drinking water from an improved source and an estimated 1,600 children die each and every day from diseases related to unsafe drinking water and basic sanitation. In rural sub‐Saharan Africa, the majority of households depend on boreholes with hand pumps for drinking water, yet 30‐50% of these hand pumps may not be functional at any given time. Clean, safe drinking water helps save lives. Help Jack Meets Kate reach one new person with clean water every 30 seconds.
World Vision is the world’s largest non-governmental provider of clean water throughout our world. We are proud to be a World Vision supporter.
FOOD FOR THE POOR DONATION
Food For The Poor is the largest international relief and development organization in the United States, according to the Chronicle of Philanthropy. Since its inception in 1982, Food For The Poor has been serving the poorest of the poor in 17 countries throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. Thanks to faithful donors, Food For The Poor's programs provide housing, clean water, education, micro-enterprise initiatives, healthcare, and emergency relief in addition to feeding hundreds of thousands of people each day.
Collectively, Food For The Poor has raised over $11 billion in aid, more than half of which was provided in the last five years, and has built more than 100,000 housing units for the destitute. The best part? Total administrative costs have remained under 5%, which means that more than 95% of all donations go directly to programs that help those in desperate need.
